2014 Awards Banquet a Huge Success!

The annual Tatum Ridge Men’s Golf Association Awards Banquet was held at Tatum Ridge on March 31, 2014. 78 people attended which is the all-time high for this event.

After a happy hour with drinks and appetizers and a fantastic three-course meal prepared and served by the golf course dining staff, the Board of Directors led by John Kardosz presented the following awards:

Club Champion: Hans Abraham

Low Gross Champion: Jim Greenleaf

A-Flight First Place: Jim Greenleaf

A-Flight Second Place: Mike Clarke

A-Flight Third Place: Doug Fields

B-Flight First Place: Hans Abraham

Following the awards presentation, and some impromptu stand-up comedy provided by Jim Greenleaf, John presented the “Club Champion’s Jacket.” Since the Club Champion Hans Abraham could not attend the banquet, the Board wanted to continue the tradition of awarding the jacket and Helen Devine won the honor.

John also presented Adrianne Anderson with the traditional owner’s “gag gift” which this year was a couple of tee blocks since some tee blocks on the course are conspicuous by their absence.

A drawing was held for over 30 bottles of wine, most of which were generously donated by a long-time member. There were so many bottles of wine awarded, it is safe to say that almost every household represented walked away with a nice bottle of wine.

Special thanks to Don Steinwachs, Bob Lane and Ed Girard whose efforts contributed to the large attendance and overall success of this event. Additional thanks to John Kardosz for preparing an elaborate display of photos from previous awards banquets.
